The County of San Mateo is looking for a Labor Standards Equity Manager. This role is vital in supporting the Office of Labor Standards and Enforcement (OLSE) by coordinating efforts among various county departments and community partners. Qualifications
Education - Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, economics, planning, finance, or a related field.
Experience - Five years of increasingly responsible professional administrative and analytical experience in municipal government, including experience in budget, strategic planning, policy analysis, and organizational development.
Responsibilies
Support the implementation and coordination of the Office of Labor Standards and Enforcement (OLSE) initiatives across county departments and community partners.
Conduct outreach and education on labor standards for low-wage workers and employers.
Develop and maintain an online resource library and webpage related to labor standards.
Track and analyze data on complaints, claims, and judgments regarding labor violations.
Research and adopt best practices to promote fair and safe labor practices.
Assist in policy development related to labor standards and enforcement.
Implement contract solicitations and manage contracts effectively.
Oversee the development and monitoring of claim intake processes for labor violations.
Foster partnerships with local leaders, organizations, and other county departments to advance labor standards.
Provide administrative and analytical support for various county
wide initiatives and projects.
Analyze operational practices to recommend improvements in procedures and policies. - Supervise and support professional, technical, and office support staff.
Conduct needs analyses and program evaluations for assigned projects.
Maintain accurate administrative and fiscal records for compliance and reporting purposes.
Perform related duties as required.

$127,358.40 - $159,224.00 Annually
