El Concilio of San Mateo County seeks a part-time, temporary administrative assistant to provide a variety of assistance to the East Palo Alto office, including office assistance, supporting clients at our drop-in center, advocacy, and support with systems navigation to ensure clients access the services that they need. The administrative assistant will report to the Program Manager. This is a temporary position through August 2024, with a possibility of extension.

Qualifications
2 years of relevant experience working in an office setting, providing customer service or with families in outreach, advocacy or social services
English proficiency
Bilingual (Spanish/ English) preferred
Working knowledge of local resources in San Mateo County
Responsibilities
Provide office assistance and front desk service at our East Palo Alto site
Triage and work 1:1 with clients to determine the type of services they need and make appropriate appointment or referrals
Provide direct information, referrals and assistance to residents in essential areas that include health and mental health, housing needs, food insecurities and job loss.
Support with client data entries
Participate in events, informational booths, and create and deliver presentations in preferred languages as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor;
COmpensation and Benefits
Hourly $20-$22 non-benefited position
