The Community Foundation of San Carlos' Fall 2024 grant cycle is now open. All applications must be submitted by 4:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2024, to be considered. The Community Foundation of San Carlos will consider requests from 501(c)(3) nonprofits that serve community members who live, work, learn, or play in San Carlos. Only nonprofits whose operating expenses were less than $1.5 million for the most recently completed fiscal year are eligible to apply.

The California State Nonprofit Security Grant Program (CSNSGP) aims to provide funding support for target hardening and other physical security enhancements to nonprofit organizations that are at high risk for violent attacks and hate crimes due to ideology, beliefs, or mission. Eligible organizations must be California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits. The grant period is from December 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026, with a submission deadline of September 23, 2024. The available funding is $76,000,000, and nonprofits can request up to $250,000 per location for a total of $500,000.

The Peninsula Health Care District is hosting an informational session for the 2025 Community Grants. If your organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit or a public agency serving residents in parts of South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, and Foster City, are invited to join the session on Zoom. At the session, attendees will learn about the upcoming 2025 Community Grants cycle, including the focus areas, application process, deadlines, and review criteria. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) is now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, and public entities for their Emergency and Disaster Relief Fund. This fund is designed to provide critical resources during disasters that affect our region, including fires, droughts, earthquakes, flooding, and unforeseen emergency events that may afflict local residents and communities.

Each year, the Coastal Conservancy issues millions of dollars in grants for projects that restore and protect the California coast, expand public access to it, and enhance its resilience to climate change. The State of California has made an unprecedented investment in the resilience and accessibility of the coast. As a result, the Coastal Conservancy has significant funding available to:

Housing Industry Foundation (HIF) distributes 500 emergency housing grants every year to individuals and families in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties so they can remain securely housed. These grants of up to $2,500 bridge the gap between crisis and stability to help pay rent, security deposits, and utility bills.
