Census
Thrive recognizes that the likelihood of a serious undercount of the population in San Mateo County puts at risk both our political representation and federal funding. We teamed up with community partners to educate people about the 2020 Census and encouraged them to participate, especially in hard-to-count populations.
Thrive, supported by Silicon Valley Community Foundation, United Way Bay Area, and San Mateo County Office of Community Affairs, co-chaired the Complete Counts Committee along with San Mateo County of Community Affairs and San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA). We supported the outreach work of the County CBOs through weekly communications and monthly regional meetings.
