Youth Community Service and Anamatangi Polynesian Voices: Nightmare on Vote Street

Nightmare on Vote Street is a nonpartisan civic engagement event aimed at inspiring youth participation in the upcoming November 2024 elections in East Palo Alto. Organized by Youth Community Service and Anamatangi Polynesian Voices, the event features over 10 nonprofit organizations competing in a trunk-o-treat decoration contest, allowing participants to showcase their creativity while engaging with the community. Highlights include interactive activities like “Debate a Candidate” booths, a youth-led candidates forum, and a mock ballot casting for the People's Poll, all designed to foster stronger connections among the youth and candidates in the area.
