SpeakUp! Domestic Violence Awareness Luncheon
Organizer: CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse)
CORA’s annual SpeakUp! Luncheon brings the committed, caring people together to recognize the effect of intimate partner abuse on their community and to raise their voices in support of friends and neighbors experiencing abuse.
This year, meet acclaimed author Rachel Louise Snyder, whose recent book, No Visible Bruises, explores the real roots of private violence, its far-reaching consequences for society, and what it will take to truly address it. Snyder’s book has been recognized as a New York Times Top 10 Book of the Year. It was also a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Nonfiction and named one of the best books of 2019 by Esquire, Amazon, Publishers Weekly, The Economist and more.
