SIAG Presents: Nonprofit Leadership Transitions - Working with An Interim Executive Director
As Board Members, Vendor/Partners and Nonprofit Executive Leaders, we have seen many nonprofits go through a leadership change for a variety of reasons, planned and unplanned. Either way, it is often a critical and destabilizing period for an organization demanding that existing staff take on added responsibilities. It is also an opportunity for an organization to take a step back and objectively address long-simmering issues and mission relevancy and build the capacity it needs to move forward in an intentional and thoughtful manner, understanding what the organization needs in its new leader.
An experienced Interim ED can help with all this, as well as oversee the process of recruiting and onboarding new leadership. Come hear from two Interim EDs at different stages in their work, Suzanne Tan (on her 7th assignment) and Beth Schecter (too many to count), who will de-mystify the work that they do and share insights from their most recent interim assignments. Both Suzanne and Beth are part of a network of transition leadership consultants in the Bay Area.
