SF CARD: Community Preparedness - Resilient Hubs
When disaster strikes, the first response is for ourselves and those in the building with us. Immediately after, we should be prepared to check on the safety and security of our immediate neighbors. The Resilient Hub Model centers that preparedness and response in the anchor institutions of a neighborhood, such as houses of worship and community centers. Daniel Homsey of the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management and Felisia Thibodeaux, of the Bookman Center, will discuss success models and how to start your own Resilient Hub.
Presented by San Francisco Community Agencies Responding to Disaster (SF CARD) and Bay Area Urban Areas Security Initiative (BA UASI).
