Redwood City Together: Welcoming Stars Celebration

Redwood City Together and The Welcoming Redwood City Working Group are hosting a celebratory dinner to honor this year's Welcoming Stars: José Luis Aguirre with CARON and the YMCA's Safety Around Water program, accepted by Andres Romero. José Luis has been instrumental in fostering trust and mutual understanding between the community and the Sheriff’s Office in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks. His work at CARON includes educational workshops and classes covering various essential topics. The Sequoia YMCA's Safety Around Water Program has provided water safety education to 160 children from low-income backgrounds, emphasizing the importance of water safety for both children and parents. This event will be a great opportunity to celebrate these incredible people and learn more about their impactful work.
