Peninsula Family Service: Thought Leader Series
Peninsula Family Service is Holding a Thought Leader event to discuss the problem of loneliness in the community, which can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, economic status, or cultural background. In May 2023, the US Surgeon General released an advisory on the public health crisis of loneliness. On January 30, 2024, the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors declared loneliness a health emergency and pledged to explore ideas promoting social connection. The event will feature a keynote speaker and a panel of experts discussing challenges and solutions related to loneliness and its impact.
