Out-of-School Time Action Team Plans & Updates
Out-of-school (OST) providers like you play a vital role in our communities, and even more now during the COVID-19 crisis when schools are closed. Nearly 100,000 students (TK-12th grade) need help with distance learning, and working parents, roughly one-third of the county workforce, need a place to put their kids where they will be safe and engaged. We know that OST providers do so much in times like these, including:
Helping reduce learning loss by supporting kids during distance learning
Giving students much-needed social-emotional support
Allowing parents to focus on their jobs and careers
Join us for this convening to learn how government, nonprofit, and private sector leaders are stepping up to support you and your youth development work in these key areas: facility space, funding, and staffing resources. Our goal is for you to walk away from this convening knowing that you have community partners who want to stand with you to serve families.
