LinkedIn's Network Gap Summit

What is the network gap?

The network gap is the advantage some have based on where they were born, where they went to school, or where they work. Combined, these experiences can give jobseekers up to a 12x advantage in gaining access to opportunity.

The Network Gap Summit is an opportunity for nonprofits, companies, social impact practitioners, and civic leaders to come together and discuss how we might build a future where people with equal talent have equal access to opportunity.

Speakers:

  • Opening Remarks: Meg Garlinghouse, Head of Social Impact, LinkedIn & David Shapiro, CEO, MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership

  • Fireside Chat: Relationships Matter - Jeff Weiner, CEO, LinkedIn

  • Can Technology Close the Network Gap? - Ya Xu, Head of Data Science, LinkedIn

  • Panel: How Nonprofit Programs Build Social Capital - Aimee Eubanks Davis, CEO, Braven, Alexandra Bernadotte, CEO, Beyond12, Jay Banfield, CIO, Year Up, Kalani Leifer, CEO, COOP, Sheila Sarem, CEO, Project Basta
