League of Women Voters of North & Central San Mateo: Mental Health Crisis in San Mateo: Meeting Our County's Needs
Join League of Women Voters of North & Central San Mateo for a panel moderated by LWV member Jean Perry, a commissioner on the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery Commission (MHSARC), exploring how our county's behavioral health and law enforcement systems are responding to changing needs in mental health crisis response. The panel participants include the following:
Jennifer Basler-Cameron, LMFT, Clinical Services Manager, Outreach and Crisis, who leads programs for adults, including Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT)
Mary McGrath, Executive Director of Safe and Supportive Schools, who oversees the numerous teams that focus on Student Mental Health and Wellness at the County office of Education
Chris Rasmussen, MHSARC Commissioner
Jean and the panel will explore the intersection of mental health, public safety and education, and some of the relevant programs the County currently operates.
