San Mateo County Office of Arts and Culture: Arts as LIFE!
Join the San Mateo County Office of Arts and Culture for a virtual day-long arts experience that will be rich with opportunities to practice creativity and its connections to learning. Arts as Life! is open to all K-12 teachers, administration, staff, and counselors. This immersive experience will include many dynamic presenters, a rockstar line-up for the keynote, student performances, AND MORE!
During this event, the San Mateo County Office of Arts and Culture will bring teachers a new model of professional development (PD) that includes their students. What? Include students? They recognize that finding a substitute teacher is challenging. One of the many themes of the conference is “Student Voice,” so why not invite students? The workshop presenters are skilled in leading experiential PDs that model how one would teach students, and what better way than to try it out on them?
Note: Arts as Life! is produced in partnership with San Mateo County Office of Arts and Culture, San Mateo County Office of Education, Alameda County Office of Education, Stanford Live, Young Audiences of Northern California, Santa Clara County Office of Education, Riverside Office of Education, Los Angeles County Office of Education, and KQED.
