Arts Unity Movement: Empathetic Art Exchange
Join Arts Unity Movement for an engaging virtual workshop designed to look at the power of empathy from a science and art perspective. Participants are invited to "respond" as NewGround Theatre Dance Company presents three pieces that will open our minds and hearts in today's world.
A guest vocalist, award winning opera singer Ashley Willits, will be featured during the improvisational section
NewGround Dancers and Apprentices will perform: “Youth Emerging”, “Into The Mirror” with featured guest Gary Stanford, and “Our Dawning”
Participants of all levels of creative ability are invited to attend. Dancers will perform in real time as audience members view and respond online through drawing, painting, etc.
Note: Participants will have the opportunity to engage with the dancers and respond to portions of the presentation and performance pieces. Wherever possible, dancers will repeat material in order to allow time and space for participants to view, take notes, and respond in a way that feels beneficial to them. A question and answer session will follow this workshop.
